Service station of the future, alternative fuels and a reinvented customer


After 18 months, ReFuelForum MENA (formerly PetroForum) returns to Dubai to welcome leading fuel distribution groups from the Gulf, North Africa, India and Pakistan.

Retail, IT and Engineering Managers from operators such as Adnoc, Emarat, Enoc, Saudi Fuel, Aldrees Petroleum, Tas’helat, Manaseer Oil & Gas, OLA Energy, JoPetrol, Agil Tunisia, Shell International, Oman Oil, BAPCO, Be Energy, Indian Oil and IPT Energy will join a host of international solution providers for 2 days of meetings, networking and conferences. The event takes place February 21 and 22 to Intercontinental, Festival City, Dubai.

A packed program of presentations, panels and debates addresses key considerations around reducing carbon emissions and the importance of digitally engaging with the customer.

From electric vehicles to digitalization, keynote speaker Giuseppe Bonaccorsi, Managing Director of Boston Consulting Group, will provide an in-depth look at how fuel retailers should better manage the many disruptions affecting the industry.

The futuristic theme continues with a presentation by Zaid Alqufaidi, General Manager Retail of Enoc, who talks about the future service station designed for Expo 2020.

A discussion around the emergence of loyalty apps, how data-driven insights can personalize the customer offer and the role of AI, The Reimagined Customer panel session moderated by Simon Martin of Kalibrate Technologies , draws on the experiences of Enoc, OLA Energy and Loyalty Partner Capillary Technologies.

And finally, PetrolPlaza Editor-in-Chief Oscar Smith Diamante asks a panel of retail experts about their expectations for alternative fuels adoption, the technologies being considered, and what’s realistic for fuel retailers in the region in the future. Panelists include Amhed Elbermbali, Clean Energy Business Council, MENA, Yasser Al Manasser, Manaseer Oil & Gas, Hisham Khan, Global Alliance Manager, Shell international and ABB.
