Petroleum Sarawak Berhad’s retail petroleum brand, Petros, has unveiled its latest multi-fuel filling station in Malaysia. The new site offers drivers several refueling options, such as hydrogen and electric charging for electric vehicles in addition to regular gasoline and diesel.

According to a social media post by Sarawak Economic Development Corporation Energy, a subsidiary of SEDC, the forecourt was built and is fully operated by the company. As the company stated, the new opening in the city of Darul Hana is another step in its plans to expand this type of resort across the country. Future stations are planned in the cities of Sri Aman, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri, all in the province of Sarawak.

“Beyond multi-fuel stations, development and transition projects towards the new energy business of clean hydrogen are taking shape in the years to come. I am confident that with the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) and Petros working together with passion, a unique brand will emerge, which I believe will be the essence of sustainability and exclusivity that reflects our brand,” said said Abang Johari, Prime Minister of Sarawak, who attended the event, according to a report by local news site The Borneo Post.

In dialogue with another local media, Dayak Daily, the politician also mentioned the possibility of obtaining a discount on fuel purchases through the new station’s S Pay Global platform. This service is an electronic wallet provided by the state government that can be used for discounts on different types of purchases. Johari confirmed that citizens of Sarawak province will be able to get a discount through the platform.
