Firefighters on site were able to prevent hell from spreading to the square and neighboring buildings
An official at the gas station, who identified himself as Ugo, said the rescue tanker which was completely razed to the ground had no contents.
Ugo commended the firefighters and rescue volunteers for their efforts.
NOPE reports that the blaze took place just 10 days after three gas stations were also destroyed in Onitsha.
