Hunters arrest gas station manager killers and hand them over to police


The suspects were arrested by the hunters on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

According to a source from Ikire area in Osun State, one of the suspects Idris was dragged to the Ako area of ​​town, where he was eventually caught by the hunters.

The source added that after being caught he listed five people involved in the attack on the gas station manager.

Apart from Idris, out of 5 others he mentioned in connection with the killing, 3 were arrested before daybreak on Sunday by the hunters and were immediately handed over to the police in Ikire,” said the source.

Confessing to the crime, Idris said the deceased was struck with a tool to the head as they raided his gas station.

Osun State Police Command Spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the arrest, saying she would soon speak to the public about the results of an investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, detectives attached to Katsina Police Command intercepted 185 sealed parcels of Indian hemp and arrested one Abdulrazak Ajibade, a 58-year-old man believed to be in possession of the exhibit.

“Ajibade, who is from Offa Local Government Area (LGA) of Kwara State, was arrested along Katsina-Dutsinma road, in a maroon colored Volkswagen vehicle registration JBY 311 AA.

“During the investigation, 185 carefully sealed packages of dried leaves, reasonably suspected to be Indian hemp, were recovered from inside the vehicle during a police search.“, said the police.

Ajibade, however, confessed to the crime and assisted the police in their investigations.
