How to make the Del Burger from the Detroit Street gas station


1 tempeh burger patty (Try The Brinery Burger Pattie, for retailers)

1 slice Violife Just like the Cheddar

1 tbsp. blond beer

Cremini mushrooms, olives, onions and poblano peppers (for garnish with grilled vegetables)

Lettuce, tomato and herb aioli *

Oatmeal bun

* Aïoli with herbs:

Vegan mayo

1 shallot, minced

1 C. pinch of parsley

1 C. lemon juice

1 C. granulated garlic

Whisk all the ingredients together.


1 cup vegan Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup red wine vinegar

2 heaping tablespoons. brown sugar

1/2 cup minced garlic

1/4 cup sunflower oil

1 tbsp. onion powder

1 tbsp. black pepper

1/2 tbsp. salt

1/2 tbsp. liquid smoke

Whisk all the ingredients together.


Immerse The Brinery Burger Pattie in the marinade for at least 12 hours. Remove the patties from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees, then let cool. Slice and sauté the onions, cremini mushrooms, poblano peppers and kalamata olives in a saucepan. Once the cooking is finished, salt and pepper. Brown the galette for a few minutes on each side. Top with the grilled vegetable mixture and a slice of vegan cheddar cheese. Pour about a tablespoon of lager into the pan. Cover and steam with beer until cheese is completely melted.
