More details on the opening date of the new Finedon gas station and store have been revealed.
Planning permission for the new gas station and store at 35-45 Burton Road (A6) in Finedon was granted last August.
The site has been vacant for a number of years and plans are now progressing with its replacement, including the co-op which recently requested the installation of new signage.
Not only will the redevelopment plans revive the vacant site, but they will also create many jobs for the neighborhood.
A spokesperson for the cooperative group told the Northants Telegraph: “We are delighted to confirm plans to open our service station and Finedon store in September 2021, which will support up to 10 new jobs locally. “
The spokesperson said more details on the products and services offered by the new store will be confirmed later.
There has been a gas station and car showroom on site as early as 1959.
The new Co-op store will be the city’s second location, as it already has a branch in Wellingborough Road, Finedon.
